History

In 1997, iRoam’s parent company, Sea Change Corporation, became a founding developer of a new technology concept “Internet Roaming” and created a company called iPass. iPass’s RoamServer allowed corporations to take control of providing Global Internet Roaming for their staff. By combining iPass with a VPN solution, secure remote access from anywhere in the world was now a reality. In October 1997 Sea Change Corporation, was appointed Master Solution Partner for iPass Global Internet Roaming Services. Serving more than 400 organizations, and thousands of users, iRoam continues to deliver in partnership with iPass, the highest standards of service and commitment that are expected by its customers.

Today iRoam remains one of the largest providers of iPass in North America and offers an extended portfolio of security solutions that are geared toward resolving challenges organizations face with securing mobile and remote users.
